L'enquête menée par les 3 amis n'est qu'un prétexte afin de confronter le passé lyrique voire utopique où règnent l'amour, l'art et la liberté à la hideur d'un présent troublant où se tisse le complot et que plane l'ombre d'une autre guerre. Avec un peu de dextérité et de maladresse surtout beaucoup d'artifice et du cabotinage de ses acteurs, David O. Russel mélange la vérité historique et une certaine frénésie loufoque pour accoucher un récit extravagant à la complexité apparente trompeuse. ?a convainc ou ?a convainc pas.
a load of pretentious, incomprehensible twaddle. sort of a cross between first-semester screenwriting and a meandering architectural travelogue as Frances walks the streets admiring the real estate, chain-smoking, and giving away her fortune to park-bench vagrants and other assorted freaks and wackos. accompanied by so many shots of uneaten meals that the end credits include a “culinary stylist.” It’s good to see Michelle Pfeiffer in movies, but not in this one.
